4th of July Events in and around Yamhill County include:
Saturday, July 3
Willamina Fourth: Willamina will holds its annual Old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration with fireworks on Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4. A barbecue, country western music, kids games and face-painting will run from 6 p.m. to about 9 p.m. Saturday at Lamson Park. Starting at 7 a.m. Sunday will be a fun run and a Kiwanis pancake breakfast. Other events include lawn mower racing, adults on big wheels race, peanut shelling and eating, a parade at 6 p.m. fireworks and vendor booths.
Champoeg: Visitors may play 1800s children’s games from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Champoeg State Heritage Area southeast of Newberg. Living history events will be offered each Saturday through Sept. 4, which will be Farmstead Day. Admission is free; parking costs $5. St. Paul Rodeo: The 75th annual St. Paul Fourth of July Rodeo continues Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4, in St. Paul. The event includes a carnival, daily fireworks and professional bull riding. For more information, visit www.stpaulrodeo.com or call 1-800-237-5920.
Sunday, July 4
McMinnville Fourth: The Jaycees will light fireworks at 10 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum off Highway 18, McMinnville. Grounds open at 4 p.m. At 6, the Humlie School of Music will perform and Evergreen will sell barbecue dinners. Pets, smoking, personal fireworks and alcohol are not allowed. Parking costs $4.
